Ten Years

Published March 17, 2026

In 2016 I arrived back in the UK after travelling the world for over three years. I called this The Three Year MEGA Journey.

It was what I chose, instead of university, instead of pursuing a fixed career. I chose to invert everything and do the thing most people talk about wanting to do one day first. I saw the world.

A lot has happened since. And I haven't stopped seeing the world, over and over and over again.

I've visited over 50 new countries.

I built BradEarth, and I continue to build BradEarth.

I'm 34 now. I was 24 when I got back.

In this ten year period I crafted a perfect system of home, England —in my room, at my desk, in my bathtub, and with my animals. Then TRAVEL, ADVENTURE, The World.

Bunker Mode. And. Global Adventure Mode.

It was the best. But that perfect system is now coming to an end.

My cat died recently. On Valentine's Day. I loved her so much. She was an important pillar of that perfect system.

I'm writing this in Almaty Airport, Kazakhstan.

Now I'm writing this in a hotel room in Istanbul.

I'm on Asia Trip 9.

Chasing new numbers.

I have over 70 countries in my bag now.

FUN STUFF.

Numbers are fun. I love my numbers. My Number Games.

...

I have some fine wrinkles on my forehead. Some bags under my eyes sometimes, and sometimes I get a bit fat. But I'm healthy, and my heart and soul are very much alive.

Time is both a horror and something to be manipulated, controlled.

What ever my life looks like in 2036, I know it will be both very different and exactly the same. I'll still be me. Even though many things will have changed.

I will continue to form new systems. New perfect systems.

And continue chasing numbers.
