One Year Nicotine and Caffeine and Alcohol Free

The title says most of it.

But I will ramble on for here for several decades anyway.

I did it. I didn’t have any of the bad stuff for a whole year. For fuck’s sake, I went around the damn sun and didn’t give in. But, to be completely honest, I never felt much temptation.

It’s odd. I smoked and/or vaped for thirteen long years and then it was so easy just to stop. The caffeine was just as easy and the alcohol was the easiest, I’ve never been a constant drinker, but I was a binge drinker.

All of this has coincided with many more health related changes for the better.

Calorie counting every day since the beginning of the year, better eating and daily intense exercise as well as now graduating to the habit of water drinking, besides naturally non-caffeinated tea, it’s the only liquid I now regularly consume.

I don’t see any stopping this.

I’ve had health kicks before but not like this.

This year of 2021 has resulted in me being the absolute healthiest I’ve ever been, all thanks to a concerted, determined effort. It’s becoming natural, natural to monthly find a new way to give my body and mind what they need and get back much more from both of them.

Maybe this new constitution of health was spurred on by finding myself in the emergency department multiple times last year, it probably played a big role, sure.

And I guess it’s not hurting only helping, for it also happens to be a year since my last visit.

I have a lot more optimization to do. So much more to clean from my body and my mind.

I don’t miss the bad stuff either and I feel proud of myself.

I feel strong. And that is the most important thing, to feel strong.

Keep it up Brad Nicholls. I intend to ensure that you have many more rides around the sun, many more rides of feeling strong.
